CONTEXT

The client is a growing specialist transport company. Due to the specificity of the services they offer, no commercial dispatch solutions apply to their process. Furthermore, the ever-increasing volume of their activities results in an administrative burden that is difficult to manage with current resources and processes.

GOALS

The objective is to create a tailor-made distribution application to allow the client to maintain their growth objectives while efficiently using available resources.
We want a Web solution that allows several users simultaneously, better integration of electronic documents, possible connection to other transport management tools as well as to the customer invoicing system.

Delivered solution

The delivered solution was written in Microsoft technologies due to ease of maintenance and omnipresence on the market. In addition, the platform is deployed on the Microsoft Azure “cloud” allowing precise allocation of the necessary resources, without the client having to maintain the server hardware.

Specifically, the web application presents information in a way specifically designed to alleviate the cognitive load associated with dispatch tracking. The visual clues, the choice of information as well as their level of detail are adjusted taking into account the actual work to be carried out for the type of operation of our client. Finally, the tool is future-proof by immediately offering integration possibilities with third-party tools, and expansion to support other business processes such as invoicing.
