Inventory management and traceability

CONTEXT

Café William is a fast-growing Quebec company. Currently, the company has integrated management software (ERP type) developed internally over the years. Major overhauls of the system are currently being made to fill gaps that could slow down the client’s ambitions.

In particular, due to ever-higher production volumes, accurate inventory monitoring appears to be an increasingly important issue. The tools in place do not allow effective management of available storage space, and a new inventory management software package that will connect more easily to other systems would be more appropriate.

GOALS

Improve inventory tracking, connect to existing application infrastructure, facilitate ERP migration when this becomes required, simplify physical inventories, enable tracking, aggregation and correction of information in office applications.

This application suite contains a complete and documented set of programs for inventory management, tracking various transactions, location management, and physical count management.

2. Data entry
This suite includes both an application for carrying out inventory consumption and production declarations, as well as a mobile application for entering information in the warehouse.

Results
  • Improved accuracy of inventory information;
  • Reduction of manual data entry;
  • Reduction in the number of manual corrections;
  • Reduced time required for physical counts.
