Software Programmer

SKADRA is recruiting a software programmer to support the Canadian defence. This person will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and documenting robust programs, while applying their knowledge of software architecture and systems.

Key responsibilities:

  • Evaluate user requests for new programs or modifications to existing programs.
  • Determine the feasibility of a solution based on cost, timelines, compatibility with the existing system, and IT capabilities.
  • Provide advice on preferred implementation approaches.
  • Analyze, modify, or revise programs to increase their efficiency or meet new requirements.
  • Document program development, logic, coding, and adjustments.
  • Install and test programs at the user’s site.
  • Monitor program performance after implementation to ensure compliance.
  • Perform unit, integration, and system testing, and communicate the results.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of programs using sample data and tests involving various stakeholders.
  • Implement strategies to simulate information sources not directly accessible by the system.
  • Code user-friendly web pages that meet specified requirements.

What
you need

  • 5+ years of experience as a software programmer.
  • Ability to work in a team, be independent, take initiative and enjoy learning.
