Success story

Problem : The general objective of the project was to provide a proof of concept for a positioning solution: without GPS, transportable by a soldier moving on foot, with an error less than 30 m per hour of movement.

Solution : LTI proposed a system based on inertial navigation, which analyzes human movement to measure the distance of each step and changes in orientation.

Result : The LTI prototype allows positioning with an accuracy of a few tens of meters after 30 minutes of walking in routes including tunnels, stairs, and outdoor sections.
